SarahKat is back! The show gets much more interesting this week. We introduce a contest, formally present our new listener comment line (206-339-JOTR), and play some frickin' awesome music. Only one problem. As I surmised last week, the right channel is, in fact, completely missing. It's nowhere to be found. Instead, we have a copy of the left channel wearing a deceptive right-channel suit. Don't be fooled-it's not the real deal. I'll look into the problem. In the mean time, the upshot is that until we get it fixed, the show will be in mono, and for this show some songs are missing bits. It should sound fairly normal, but the mashup is sadly missing some cool loops that play mainly on the right. Oh, well. Peter (PS, Please do give us a call on our comment line (206-339-JOTR). We want this communication this to be a two-way street!) :) Show notes:

Kat was away this week, so you get to hear what I sound like all alone, without an ounce of banter in sight. It's pretty pathetic, actually. More pathetic than I actually felt. You know how hard it is to have energy when you're talking in a room by yourself? Part of the problem is the board. We've got nice little meters that tell us how loud we are, but judging from feedback we've gotten during the show, we sound best when we're in the red zone on the meters. I don't think they're supposed to work like that. We'll just have to work at it. As usual, show notes are below. And as always, feedback is much more than welcome, either as comments to this entry, by email at jesusradio@gmail.com, or by leaving a message at (206) 339-JOTR. And again, if I sound pathetic, don't worry. It's just the mic. Peter (PS, I think the right channel isn't being recorded or streamed. I don't know why, but we'll look into it. I hope the music doesn't suffer too much for it.) Show notes:

It's the first ever real live Jesus on the Radio podcast! Except it's not live. It is, however, real. Sadly, SarahKat and I were both a little sick, both a little tired, and both a little rusty, so we may sound a bit out of it. Do not adjust your player. We are attempting to control the transmission. It's only a northern podcast. How do you get the show? Well, you can get it manually off of this page, but that's a pain. The enlightened among us perfer a podcast aggregator. That's a handy piece of software that checks the site for you and downloads new shows automatically. The classic "podcatcher" is iPodder Lemon. Some other clients are listed here. Also, since version 4.9, iTunes supports podcasting. Until we get listed on the Music Store, you'll have to go to "Advanced->Subscribe to Feed...". My personal favorite for podcatching is Odeo, a website where you can manage your podcast subscriptions online, and then sync everything to iTunes or another player. Many text RSS readers now support podcasting too, if you already use one. If that last sentence was gibberish to you, ignore it. I'm not going to go into how to subscribe to a podcast in each of these; you'll have to look at the directions for your aggregator of choice. At some point, though, you'll need to enter our RSS feed URL. See the little "RSS 2.0" logo on the sidebar? It's linked to the RSS feed. Right- or control-click it and click "Copy link" or some such. You've now copied the address. Paste it into your aggregator wherever it goes. If you manage to get the show, congratulations! If you're still confused, I don't blame you. Email jesusradio@gmail.com with some info about what you've tried, and we'll hook you up. Thanks for bearing with me for all that. Good luck getting the show, and thanks for making the effort.
